Employment Opportunities 

Graduate may work as a Nurse Aide in a doctor’s office, nursing home, hospital, or private home.


Length of Program 

12 weeks


Number of Students Per Instructor Allowed

Required Text 

NC Nurse Aide I material from State Nursing Board Website. Textbooks are given to students as part of the state required material.


Payment Plan 

The balance minus the deposit is paid monthly and paid in full before the student takes their state exam.


Uniform 

Scrub top and pants, black or brown nursing shoes or leather tennis shoes, worn during clinical and in class.


Credential Received Upon Completion

Nursing Assistant I Program Certificate of Completion


Certification 

North Carolina State Certification for Certified Nurse Aide I (CNA I). Candidates name will be placed on the North Carolina Board of Nursing Registry, The cost is $140. 


Other Supplies Needed 

Students are provided a candidate handbook from the National Nurse Aid Assessment Program. Enclosed in this manual are how to register for the NNAAP exam, cancellation, and re-scheduling of the exam, what to expect exam day, tips on how to perform your lab/clinical skills for the skills portion of the test as well as sample question on the test. We also recommend that you purchase a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope; however, you may use the ones that we have in the lab for free.
